Salida Community Plan - Draft

Salida Growth HEARING SET ON PLAN
A new growth plan for Salida will be unveiled July 20 at a public hearing to be held by the Stanislaus County Planning Commission. The county Board of Supervisors last year tanked a plan that would have allowed Salida to nearly triple in size to about 39,000 people in the next 10 years. That's too many, too fast, supervisors said. The new plan would add a few thousand residents and would encourage most of Salida's growth to the northwest. The July 20 meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. in the basement chamber at Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St., Modesto. - Modesto Bee .....http://www.modbee.com/metro/story/0,1113,173567,00.html

Here we have taken relative documents from the Plan Draft, and have incorporated them here for you. There are three plans being considered, they are Alternative 1, Alternative 2, and the third alternative which is no growth, leave Salida as it is now. For ease of navigation and load time, I have split up the Alternatives and their corresponding Figures (the maps) and set them up on seperate pages. You will find the links to them at the end of the page.

The Board of Supervisors is slated to finalize the approval for the Salida Community Plan in August.

Stanislaus County Planning Department and Board of Supervisors are taking public comments on the General Plan and EIR for the Salida area. Salida.org has incorporated relevant maps and tables of land use information included in the Salida Community Plan Update Draft. Click here.
